Thanksgiving Day with the Pooles'

We had an excellent dinner, Johns' mom baked a turkey and Johns brother deep fried a turkey. We had stuffing, baked mac & cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, cranberries, baked beans & rolls. Then we had quite a few deserts.

This is Alex in my jacket, we left home and he walks out of the house without a jacket, and of course we can't keep him inside. Chelsea says he looks like an orphan.

I got a family picture of the four of us.

Alex & David went and set by the lake after dinner.

After dinner we went down to the lake and Johns' brother started a bombfire. Chelsea & Alyson are lighting their torches. Alex looks like he's roasting a marshmallow, but it's just a newspaper.

Thanksgiving Potluck

Alex's teacher Mrs. Beavers-Looney has been doing a potluck luncheon each year for as long as I can remember. She has the parents bring a dish of food, The children sang and quoted a poem. It's also a good way for the parents to get to know each other. We had a great time, another co-worker and myself ended up decorating. I was chosen to take pictures and video.

The children were getting ready to recite their Thanksgiving poem, and sing their song for all the parents.

I gave my camera to one of the parents I know, so she could take pictures while I did the video. She tried, but I don't think she uses a digital camera very often.

Here is the schools principal, It looks as if she's deep in thought. These are just some of the parents that came.

Here is Alex in line for food.
Here is my good friend Tempi singing for the group, she done an excellent job, I didn't know she sung that good. The song she sang for us was Thank you Lord for your blessings on us. Here is Alexs' teacher Mrs. Beavers-Looney on ham duty, and turkey duty.
Me & Alex posing for a picture, I had to get pictures of each of the children with their family. The teacher will be doing something special with the pictures for each parent later on.

The baby is doing good, they got to hold him for the first time this saturday, sooner than expected. He is breathing some on his own but he'll go back & forths on the ventilator until his lungs get stronger. The sucking/swallowing dont start until 30 wks into the pregancy, he is only at 28 wks. They said he's making little squeaking noises, but he still has a log way to go and still needs our prayers.

Halloween Party

Here's the teacher leading the dance line around the classroom, Alex is towards the end and he would cover his face not wanting me to take his picture.

His teacher Mrs. Beavers-Looney trying to get him out on the floor to dance.

Here's Alex and Randy up on the dance floor acting silly.
After the dancing they sat down for some pizza, while we passed out their candy.
