Halloween

Today the classes had their halloween parties. I made these cupcakes that's suppossed to look like mummies. The children got to pass out the candy they brought. The teacher brought in a big slow cooker and cooked hot dogs.

Here's Alex and a couple friends posing for the camera.

I went out with Diane and Amanda at her neighborhood. I got Alex posing in front of Diane's house. His costume is Commander Blade.

Here's Amanda and Alex at one of the first houses of the evening. We ended up with a pillowcase full of candy. The weather was great except for the wind, Amanda kept losing her hat to the wind.

Erie Apple Orchard

The 3rd graders went to the apple orchards today. We had a great time, the weather was good it wasn't to cold or too hot, it was chilly but it looked like a beautiful day. I wanted to get his picture in the tree but when I snapped it he pulled back and plugged his nose, I guess it stunk. This deer was being stubborn, I tried to get his picture but he just keep his nose in the corner.

The orchards only had a few animals, right now he's feeding one of the goats.

It's lunchtime and we spent most of the time eating on the run. Trying to get away from the yellow jackets.

Here's the deer again, still in the corner but peeking around to check out what's going on.

There's a section by the building where we eat and it was full of hay, the children had the best time playing in that, throwing it around running and jumping and just being kids. I'll say they had shoes, pants, jackets and hair that was full of hay. The parents may have a mess on their hands when the kids got home. There was also a tractor the kids were able to sit and play on.

We went on a hay ride, they took us around the orchards. We seen the fields where the christmas trees are growing. They also showed us where the honey bees live. Then we went to the apple trees. The children got out lined up and was given rules on what they were allowed to do, when he said go off they went.

The children were told they were to pick 3 apples to keep.

We really didn't have a problem with the children, it was the parents. Check out their bags; there's 3 apples, but it looks like they have an extra apple they're trying to eat in a hurry.

The children got to see how the apples were cleaned, shined, and sorted. Then they took the children into the cooler, and thats were he's at in this picture.

After everything was done the children was able to pick a little pumpkin out of the bin to take home.

The deer again I guess after it was left alone for awhile it came to the fence. I was able to get it's picture and I was even able to pet it.

We had time so we took a walk through the corn maze, It wasn't that bad. It's amazing we came through it and still had all the kids.

On the way home some of the kids fell asleep and so did the mama's.

Chelsea Update

This girl is so crazy you wont believe what she done today. I was home for lunch when she called, she couldn't wait to tell us she had just went skydiving. Although she had an instructor attached to her, that would not be enough for me to jump out of an airplane. In this picture above she found these guys (mexicans) and had to get a picture with them, sends us the picture and says she feels like she's at home now. Just as I said above the girl is crazy.
Oh how sweet she's having tea at mickeys place.

Here she is and her roommate getting into one of his roommates clothes. I sure hope he wasn't offended, if he knew anything about it.

I must be nice going to the beach when your family is at home wearing their jackets and turning on the heat.

Here she is in her mickey ears.

They love ice cream. Especially if it's free.

32nd Anniversary Dinner

Today I went to visit mom & dads' church. It was their 32nd anniversary. There was dinner after the church service, which was a great opportunity to get pictures.
There's Steve the song leader & adult sunday school teacher.

The lady in green is Barb and the one who helped mom. She wasn't feeling to good today.

Paul & Tonia it was great to see them.

Here's mom waiting to chew her food until I take the picture. I should've made her wait a little longer.

Here's Ron at the food table again, I counted 3 trips.

This is Debbi and granddaughter
Jayden.

Here's Kathy the preacher's better half.

Ahh! Ron eating, don't remember which serving 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Barb said I had to get my picture taken, so she took it a couple times because my little brat keep putting his head in front of my face.

Here's the preacher, notice the big smile on his face. It not because the food was great. It's because my camera came up missing. I was searching frantically for it well guess who took it. I'm not going to say but I think the smile says it all.
