Thanksgiving Day

Here's some pictures from Thanksgiving Day. Usually Lisa would put up mom's Christmas tree after dinner and desert. Not this year dad told her no that she wasn't putting it up this early. We've done that way for many years don't know why after all this time he said no except that he's being a scrooge. Notice there's no pictures of him, that's because he would put his hand in front of his face then he yells. Oh well I guess that's what happens when you get old you get grouchy.

Saturday Walk

Nothing much has been happening except working. Lisa and I did go to John's house Saturday and we finally made it to the other park to try it out for a walk. This park has 3 trails 1 is a nature trail only walkers can use, it's only a 1 mile trail. The next one is a 3 mile walk, and the last one is a 4 mile walk. We couldn't make up our minds at first, we decided to do the 3 mile walk. It wasn't bad it was flat and paved so that was good for us. Along the way we ran into this water pump. I had to see if it worked, it did so it was a picture moment.
Here's the pump.

Here's me checking to see if it works.

Couldn't forget Lisa.

An Interesting Sunday

I tried cooking dinner yesterday evening and it just wasn't working out. First I peeled potatoes and put them on to cook, ended up cooking them dry and burnt. Then I put on some noodles, got to doing something and almost burnt them, They cooked a little to dry. I started a fire in the wood burner yesterday to get the chill off the house. To end the day at about 1 a.m. I seen the fire trucks, I thought the house next door was on fire. I jumped out of bed to go look and make I didn't have to get us out of the house. As I was making my way, the firemen were banging on my front door. Someone called because the smoke was filling the neighborhood, they just made sure it was a wood burning stove and that there was no smoke in the house, then off they went.
