Went Fishing

John and Alex went to the house and he let Alex go fishing. Alex said he caught about 5 fish but threw them all back.

Happy Memorial Day!

We had a nice quiet Memorial Day, just part of the family came over. We grilled out then ate too much. Mom's still having problems walking around after surgery on her knee. She probably needs to exercise it more.

Lisa has just found out she has high sugar, and the Dr. put her on pills for now. She has to go this week to get her eyes checked, she noticed a change in her vision. I guess we all need to keep a check on our health.

She's Home

Chelsea's plane got in last night at 1:30a.m. which means that I got 3hrs of sleep before I went to pick her up, and couldn't fall back to sleep when I got home until 4:45a.m. I had to be up at 6:00a.m. I'm gonna be very tired today. Chelsea said she had fun but I'm glad she's back.

Chelsea went to visit Soffiya in California, and she finally sent me some pictures. In this picture Chelsea said they went to the gap and tried on clothes and took pictures.

My First Conference

I'm leaving today for a 2 day conference in Lansing, MI. The ladies at work talked me into it, I wish it were to someplace nice.

Early Mother's Day

Everyone got together yesterday and gave mamaw and mom an early mother's day. This is almost the whole gang, except Danny and Becky they had to work.
We got a DQ ice cream cake with happy mother's day written on it.

Mamaw got emotional and began crying.

Something happened and mamaw got a good laugh out of it.

School Fundraiser

This is a project that I've been working on. I did portaits of a few classrooms and fixed them like this, now the others teachers are requesting to have their class done. I used to get these for Chelsea every year. I don't have any for Alex, so I did a fundraiser for the school and they turned out pretty good and now I'm doing the rest of the school.

A Beautiful Day

It was a beautiful day today the temps were up in the low 70's. A great day to go outside and just sit and enjoy the weather. That's what dad's doing, enjoying a nap in the warm weather.

John's House

This is the house that John bought. It didn't need much work just a few changes. John's in the process of getting new carpet ( he's been in the process since Jan). When Chelsea's friend Soffiya was here they spent a few nights in the house, and put the mattress in the living room floor instead of a bedroom.

It's a walkout basement and this is the door that leads into the basement. The previous owners had the basement fixed as an apartment, with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room.

Easter Day

John, Alex & Chelsea went to have Easter dinner at John's parents house. Before he left he wanted to show everyone his suit.

He had to take a picture of me Yuck! I take awful pictures.

After dinner we were sitting on porch talking, I started taking pictures and dad went grumpy on me and wouldn't look and smile. Michigan just wont get warm, It looks beautiful and warm out there with the sun shinning, but it's cold burrr.......

Easter Pictures

I did Easter pictures at work on Monday. Here is one of the pictures I did, I though this little girl is so beautiful. She's like a little princess. Doing those pictures sure did leave me feeling old. I used muscle I didn't know I had, and I'm feeling the pain.

Oh No Snow!

I woke up this morning to snow on the ground. It's a heavy wet snow, and I hope it's gone by this evening.

I'm doing another fund raiser for the school today, I'm taking Easter Pictures. I've been up since 4:00 a.m. thinking and hoping they come out ok. After I do the pictures, I'm doing my own fundraiser I chose a few classes and I'm gonna try do do class pictures.

Update on Perky: My understanding is that she is getting weaker, and is having a hard time typing. I think she has a Dr. appt this week and Linda said she'll give us an update at that time.

Basketball at the YMCA

Alex is doing basketball at the Y again. He's had 3 games they lost the first and won the last 2. It's only for fun not a competition.

After the game Chelsea had me take her tanning, while waiting in the truck another truck pulled up and this dog had it's head out the window. I think these dogs are so pretty, so I took it's picture as I did the dog looked straight at me.

Chelsea's New Toy

Chelsea got a new camera yesterday and was playing around with it. These are a few pictures she took. The camera can be set to a certain color, and the picture will be black and white and the only color showing will be the color she choose.
