Pool Time

Our weather is so unpredictable, we go from one day wearing a coat to the next day hot enough for the pool. Yesterday we got out the pool and got it set up and filled up. Today after school Alex couldn't wait to get into the pool. He did his home work, got his swim suit on and forgot about eating dinner. Any other time he would be soooo hungry after school.

Memorial Day

It was a quite Memorial day, didn't do very much. Lisa came over and that was it. Two of her girls went to someone's house to swim, Mike has been in Ohio since friday. Jessica worked, Chelsea is at Johns' parents and Diane and her family stayed home and are entertaining his parents. Here's Lisa laying out relaxing in the sun; I did the same thing and now I'm PINK and in PAIN. But it felt good while I was out there.

Dad cooking hot dogs on the grill, I had John fire up his grill so he could cook the hamburgers.

I decided to try out a feature on my camera so I told Alex to just move around alot. I had taken pictures before with a continous shoot button, but it was blurry. It only took me a long time to figure out that I should put it on action when using a continous shoot. It turned out with no blur.

I sat out in the sun today, since it's been the only nice day when I have a day off. Alex walked by so I decided to snap a picture of us. No more close ups for me. YUK! I take awful pictures.

Mom and dad getting their food, dad as usual drowning everything in pepper.

here's mom having desert and just being silly since I had my camera.

Houndshell Grandbabies

I finally got some pictures of the babies. Courtneys' computer hasn't been working. So therefore no pictures. I've been working a picture video of the 3 babies first year (with music added). We finally had to call and get them to send pictures so I can finish. The twins birthday was in April. Below is pictures of their party.

Here's an updated picture of Maddox, Jordan's son.

Carsyn looks like she can't wait to dig in.

Cooper deciding weather to eat it or not.

Here's all 3 of them with cake all over.

My Birthday

My family gave me a little surprise today after school. But of course at school today Alex had to tell everyone that I was somewhere in my 40's.

Chelsea took my camera and of course taking pictures of them eating ice cream cake. I think she's addicted to taking pictures of herself and of course her and whoever doing silly things.

My family got me flowers and an ice cream cake, Alex painted my vase when we got home from school today

Here's my birthday hat I got at work, Alex's teacher came to me with this hat to wear today. This is what they give the kids to wear when it's their birthday.

Update on da hood

Today at work I found out more about what was going on yesterday. I found out that there has been words between the people in that apartment and a family around the corner. One of the boys has been at the school often says to pick up his brother, but he's been all over the school checking out the place. There has been a few teachers who's warned him to stay out of the building, didn't work until we had to call the police.
I understand that AutoZone was in a lockdown state while all of this was going on.
One of our substatute teachers was headed home yesterday and there was a gang of boys fighting, girls were getting into it also. Nobody stopping cars just kept going, and going around the fight that was going on in the road. It seems as though our young kids have so much hate in them. They have no feelings, and no care about hurting others.

Just another day in da hood

Today I had a 1/2 day of school, lucky for me I was home to see all the excitment. Once again the dog was barking. I went to check, there was alot of commotion going on across the street. So being the nosy neighbor I decided to watch & listen. People were yelling, teenagers running in and out, bricks being carried into the house and breaking windows from the inside. A gang of boy were doing alot of damage to an apartment I guess they robbed the residents also. My dad walked to the store, all I could think about was an older man walking into a bunch of kids doing wrong and them going after him. So I went looking for him, and I seen more boys coming putting bandanas around their face. I seen a cop on the main road (guarding a big huge hole) I told him what was going on. After I got my dad and headed home there were a gang of boys in red hoodies lined up against the auto store, with 7 police cars. While listening from my back door, I found out that the people who lived there were home when this was going on.

Is'nt it wonderful in da hood

Spring Pictures

This is his spring picture I just got today. Good thing I didn't have to pay for them because they'd be going back. This is a new company, and this is the 2nd time they did pictures for us. I wasn't happy with the way they did the Christmas pictures, and I'm not happy with this setup.
I'll still be hanging him on my wall anyway because he is my baby.

Graduation Time

Diane Passed out Danny's graduation cards today, along with a picture. Congratulations goes out to Danny for completing High School.

This is the picture of Danny that I liked. He looked good in his suit and dress cloths, but that's not him. He rarely ever wears those type of clothes. It looks like my scanner needs to be cleaned, I see alot of dust particles.

School Parade

It's almost cinco de mayo day. Since the school is about 93% mexican and the area is mexican town, it's celebrated. The school has a parade around a few blocks, which is a 1mile walk. Kids were carrying signs & flags. The ones who want can wear their mexican attaire. Parents with their younger children walked with us. They either started out with us or meet us on the way around. Here we are getting started, we've just come out of the school. Alex gets to be in front carrying a sign.

Here are the kids marching at about the half-way point. Not far down the road was the principal with her festive hat on, so I had to snap this picture.

After the parade the kids and parents went back to class and had a little party. When the teacher took the kids out because school was over, Alex and I stay and cleaned up. As you can see I got him vaccuming the floor.

Re: Alex

I took Alex back to the Dr. for a follow up visit re: his ear. There's still fluid build up in his ear and the ear pressure test came back worse than the 1st one. Now we are headed to an ENT Dr. His Dr. can't believe how many times he's been in to see her in the past 6mos. There's something in the school making people sick. In Nov. there was a small fire but the sprinkler system took care of it but the alarm didn't go off and no one was there to turn of the sprinklers. So now we believe that along with the asbestos there's black mold, plus an awful smell in the basement (where his class is). The Teachers in the basement have been very sick one so bad that she had to be wheeled out in a chair because she couldn't walk. The school did an air quality test but no one is able to get the results, or any questions answered. We'll see what happens.
